Sewing for the 4th of July!

I was looking for something to sew for the 4th and came across this cute apron, which could be worn anytime for the summer months. I found it over at All The Small Things.

I really do love the material choices and I would like to make something retro, like this Butterick  pattern 5435.

My mom had some just like these…what wonderful memories, smelling my moms home made apple pies, blackberry cobbler, pear preserves..yum….

Look what I found next.  These are so cute and would be easy to wipe up in no time for the fourth.

Go over to Make It and Love It

for a free tutorial. I like how she made the ruffles for the little girl and kept the boys just straight.
